Specialist IDTA Teacher Training
We offer training towards the IDTA Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary Modern Jazz and Theatre Craft.
Our programmes combine syllabus knowledge, practical teaching techniques, professional development and examination preparation.
With different training pathways available, we can help you find the right approach for your existing qualifications and experience.
Our January 2027 programme will feature Theatre Craft, with expressions of interest also welcomed for our other genres. Final genre availability will be confirmed according to enrolment demand.
Structured Learning. Flexible Support.
We understand that many of our students are balancing their training with teaching, work and family commitments.
Our weekly live Zoom sessions are supported by recordings, comprehensive course materials and ongoing tutor guidance, allowing you to revisit your learning and develop your skills between sessions.
Our January 2027 programme is planned for Wednesdays, bringing your live training together into one structured teaching day.

Working through each of the grades of Theatre Craft, highlighting teaching techniques and common faults dancers would make before learning how to avoid and correct them.
